Jordyn Davis is a long and athletic wing player that makes the game of basketball look easy. He can take his defender off the dribble with an assortment of moves, and finish creatively at the basket. An underrated aspect of Jordyn’s skill set is his mid-range jump shooting. Jordyn is an active defender and if he gets into the open floor then he will entertain the crowd with a highlight reel dunk.

JUSTYN DAVIS
Fairfield Warde, 2022
FCIAC Second Team, 2019-20

Justyn Davis is a talented outside shooter that also has the ability to make good things happen around the basket. His quick release shooting mechanics keep the defender off balance, as they need to play higher up. Justyn understands angles and will use that to his advantage in setting up the shot. His shot has a high arc so he can get clean looks in the lane. He has great length for rebounding.

GRIFFIN HARDING
Fairfield Prep, 2022

Griffin Harding is a big, strong kid who shoots from the outside with efficiency. The combination of size and shooting allows him to stretch the floor, square up defenders and attack openings in the defense as available. Griffin is able to use his size to battle down low and grab tough rebounds.

JACK PETRAFESA
Fairfield Prep, 2022

Jack Petrafesa has a non-stop motor that allows him to impact the game on both ends of the court. Defensively, he is a “ball hawk,” in constant motion with a mindset of disrupting rhythm and stealing the basketball. In transition, Jack can see the floor and run the lanes. His wide-ranging offensive skills include outside shooting, mid-range jumpers and strong penetration to the rim.

CHARLIE BEGAN
Fairfield Ludlowe, 2022

Charlie Began is like a “swiss army knife” of skills as he can do just about anything on the basketball court. He’s a strong kid who looks to facilitate, which is why Charlie’s teammates love to play with him. In addition to terrific passing skills — Charlie can shoot, ball-handle and dribble drive.

ETHAN CRAWFORD
St. Luke’s School, 2023

Ethan Crawford is a high level guard with mastery over ball control, floor vision and shooting. He can handle any type of pressure and whip passes to the weak-side like the best of them. Perhaps what separates Ethan at the guard position is his elite shooting from all over the hardwood, including in transition.

 JT SHAPIRO
Staples High School, 2022

JT Shapiro is a physically strong kid and as tough as they come. He will come up with a rebound or loose ball amongst much bigger opponents. His basketball IQ is second to none and this translates to near-perfect decision-making throughout the course of a game. JT’s ball distribution skills are dazzling. He is unselfish and so passes on many shots that he is capable of knocking down.

ANDREW SOLTIS
Bunnell High School, 2022

Andrew Soltis is a ferocious defender with many dangerous offensive skills to round out his game. He has very long arms that he uses to swat away shots in the paint, or lock down perimeter players looking to drive through the lane. Andrew cleans the defensive glass, crashes the offensive boards, and has excellent footwork from wherever he is operating. Andrew won’t back down from anyone.

JORDAN KATZ
Ridgefield High School, 2023

Jordan Katz is the definition of a “floor general,” with the highest of basketball IQ’s at the point guard position. He possesses exceptional passing skills, with an even more impressive timing for when to make the pass. Jordan uses these instincts to make his mark on any game against opponents of any size. It also helps that Jordan can shoot and breakdown defenders with the dribble.

EVAN KOERNER
Ridgefield High School, 2023

Evan Koerner, AKA “Baby Westbrook,” attacks the game with fearless play-making ability. Evan is an explosive athlete with jaw-dropping change-of-speed agility at the guard position. He is more of a ‘combo guard’ because of an equal threat to score and distribute. Evan fills up the stat sheet with points, rebounds, assists and steals.

JACK MICHALOWSKI
Ridgefield High School, 2023

Jack Michalowski has good size to go along with a versatile offensive game. Jack is a three point scoring threat that can get hot at any time with his ability to shoot over the top of the defense. He can absorb contact to create space on a dribble-drive, and shoots a high percentage from the free throw stripe.

JACK PLESSER
Fairfield Warde, 2023

Jack Plesser uses his speed, length and athleticism to outrun the opposing team and get buckets. Jack’s improved shooting from the outside is turning him into an even tougher defensive assignment. He can pull up on a dime for floaters in the lane, knock down a mid-range jumper and stretch the floor with three pointers.

NOLAN HANSEN
Jonathan Law High School, 2023

Nolan Hansen has been the tallest player on his team for a long time. He also happens to be a very smart and skilled basketball player, which is bad news for opposing teams. Nolan’s footwork has improved over the years, and he knows how to effectively pivot into scoring opportunities from different spots on the floor. He can shoot, pass and block shots.

RYAN NOBLE
Naugatuck High School, 2022

Ryan Noble is a sharp shooter that is always ready to let it fly. He can knock it down from anywhere behind the three point line. This is a testament to his 24/7 work ethic. As Ryan continues to grow and become more explosive, these offensive skills will flourish even more.

Timmy Bristol attacks the game of basketball with relentless energy and enthusiasm to become the best he can be. In his spare time, he reads books written by basketball legends of the past. On the court, Timmy never stops moving and can do it all. He’s tenacious defensively and can shoot from anywhere on the floor. Timmy likes to get out in transition where he can drop down an effective “Euro Step” from time to time.

CAIDEN CLAYTON
Joel Barlow High School, 2022

Caiden Clayton is a play-making wing player with good size. He is meticulous in his off-the-court training regimen, and the results manifest in games. Caiden’s explosiveness comes from lower body strength. He draws in the defense with the dribble-drive and can absorb contact. More frequently, Caiden is finishing with creativity.

HIRO WYATT
King School, 2022
Committed: Duke University (baseball)

Hiro Wyatt has unique length while also being light on his feet. For a taller player, Hiro has a nice shooting touch from the outside. He also has an uncanny knack for blocking shots. For all of these basketball strengths, Hiro accomplished so much success in baseball that he was offered a scholarship to play baseball at Duke University. Hiro is an outstanding athlete and young man, and we are proud to call him a Fierce alum.
