Jack Plesser uses his speed, length and athleticism to outrun the opposing team and get buckets. Jack’s improved shooting from the outside is turning him into an even tougher defensive assignment. He can pull up on a dime for floaters in the lane, knock down a mid-range jumper and stretch the floor with three pointers.


Tate Mahoney

Tate Mahoney is a tall knock down shooter that hits over 40% from three point range. More recently -- Tate has become a dynamic scorer unafraid to put the ball on the floor, pull up mid-range or finish at the rim. He has become an active defender who can rebound. The combination of Tate's high basketball IQ and lethal shooting range make him a player to watch over the next few high school basketball seasons.


David Melson

David Melson is a sharp shooting wing player who knows how to score the basketball. He is a knock-down catch and shoot offensive threat, and can also take his man off the dribble. David is not afraid of taking the big shot, but he also understands how to play within the team and make the right basketball play. David's rebounding and defensive impact on the game continues to improve.

Justyn Davis is a talented outside shooter that also has the ability to make good things happen around the basket. His quick release shooting mechanics keep the defender off balance, as they need to play higher up. Justyn understands angles and will use that to his advantage in setting up the shot. His shot has a high arc so he can get clean looks in the lane. He has great length for rebounding.


Kevin Hyzy

Kevin Hyzy is a playmaker from the perimeter. Over the years Kevin's effectiveness as a ball-dominant guard has developed due to his improvements in physicality and decision-making. He can take you off the dribble to the rim, off the dribble for a pull-up jump shot or with a catch and shoot coming off the ball. Kevin has become an efficient all-around playmaker that can also draw in the defense and then find the open teammate.


Nolan McKenna-Hansen

Nolan McKenna-Hansen has been the tallest player on his team for a long time. He also happens to be a very smart and skilled basketball player, which is bad news for opposing teams. Nolan’s footwork has improved over the years, and he knows how to effectively pivot into scoring opportunities from different spots on the floor. He can shoot, pass and block shots.


Griffin Harding

Griffin Harding is a big, strong kid who shoots from the outside with efficiency. The combination of size and shooting allows him to stretch the floor, square up defenders and attack openings in the defense as available. Griffin is able to use his size to battle down low and grab tough rebounds.

Jack Fitzmaurice is a smart, controlled wing player with the ability to light it up from long range. He is strong and balanced at all times which makes it difficult to knock him off his game. Jack uses athleticism to grab tough rebounds and can snap passes over the top of pesky defenders.


Harrison Keith

Harrison Keith is a quiet leader who does all of the small things that make for a strong player and great teammate. Harrison is tough, aggressive and skilled on the court. He can shoot, attack the basket to find the open man, rebound, run the floor and cause chaos defensively. He’s an unselfish player that cares about the team above all. Harrison’s toughness has translated to the football field where he plans to play at the college level.


Max Andrews

Max Andrews has a non-stop motor and brings a physical toughness to the game every time he takes the court. He is a ball hawk with dominant rebounding and defensive abilities. Max’s combination of speed and strength can be attributed to his talents as a soccer player. He has competed internationally for the United States Under-15 National Team and the New York Red Bulls. He will be continuing his athletic career at Boston College University. Max approaches every game with character and sportsmanship and we look forward to watching his future accomplishments.


Hiro Wyatt

Hiro Wyatt has unique length while also being light on his feet. For a taller player, Hiro has a nice shooting touch from the outside. He also has an uncanny knack for blocking shots. For all of these basketball strengths, Hiro accomplished so much success in baseball that he was offered a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Southern California. Just as impressively, Hiro was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the third round (75th overall) in the 2023 Major League Baseball Draft. Hiro is an outstanding athlete and young man, and we are proud to call him a Fierce alum.


Kyle Hoffman

Kyle Hoffman is a long and athletic player that can do it all. His dynamic offensive skill set includes consistent outside shooting, mid-range shooting, slashing to the rim and going coast to coast. Defensively Kyle impacts the game with deflections, rejections and rebounds in large crowds. He threw down his first dunk as an 8th grader and the sky is the limit.

Evan Kozdeba, AKA “Baby Westbrook,” attacks the game with fearless play-making ability. Evan is an explosive athlete with jaw-dropping change-of-speed agility at the guard position. He is more of a ‘combo guard’ because of an equal threat to score and distribute. Evan fills up the stat sheet with points, rebounds, assists and steals.


Ethan Crawford

Ethan Crawford is a high level guard with mastery over ball control, floor vision and shooting. He can handle any type of pressure and whip passes to the weak-side like the best of them. Perhaps what separates Ethan at the guard position is his elite shooting from all over the hardwood, including in transition.


Axel Fine
Hopkins School, 2024

Axel Fine is a coach on the floor. He sees the strategy of the game in real-time while in the middle of the action, and at a higher level than many coaches. Axel is a tough competitor with great floor vision and passing skills. He has a strong build that he uses to create space when reeling in rebounds. Axel can put it on the floor and also knock down the open outside shot.


Jack Petrafesa

Jack Petrafesa is a high energy player which allows him to impact the game on both ends of the court. Defensively, he is a “ball hawk,” in constant motion with a mindset of disrupting rhythm and stealing the basketball. In transition, Jack can see the floor and run the lanes. His wide-ranging offensive skills include outside shooting, mid-range jumpers and strong penetration to the rim.


Charlie Began
Fairfield Ludlowe, 2022

Charlie Began is like a “swiss army knife” of skills as he can do just about anything on the basketball court. He’s a strong kid who looks to facilitate, which is why Charlie’s teammates love to play with him. In addition to terrific passing skills — Charlie can shoot, ball-handle and dribble drive.


Jordan Katz
Ridgefield High School, 2023

Jordan Katz is the definition of a “floor general,” with the highest of basketball IQ’s at the point guard position. He possesses exceptional passing skills, with an even more impressive timing for when to make the pass. Jordan uses these instincts to make his mark on any game against opponents of any size. It also helps that Jordan can shoot and breakdown defenders with the dribble.


Jt Shapiro
Staples High School, 2022

JT Shapiro is a physically strong kid and as tough as they come. He will come up with a rebound or loose ball amongst much bigger opponents. His basketball IQ is second to none and this translates to near-perfect decision-making throughout the course of a game. JT’s ball distribution skills are dazzling. He is unselfish and so passes on many shots that he is capable of knocking down.


Justyn Capellan

Justyn Capellan is a unique player because of his combination of size and agility. He is a big, strong kid who knows how to use his body -- but also has the skills and speed to bring finesse into his game. Justyn is a team-first player who wants to win above all. He enjoys being unselfish and making the extra pass. Justyn knows when to be aggressive and he gets fouled often because of his physicality, and is a good free throw shooter.


Aidan Shea
Fairfield Warde, 2025

Aidan Shea is uniquely talented scoring guard. Simply put, Aidan has the ability to put the ball in the basket. He can create his own shot in a variety of ways -- either off the dribble for an outside jumper or to get to the rim. If Aidan continues to improve defensively, and embraces a true "next play" mentality, then the sky is the limit.


Justin Wang
Hopkins School, 2025

Justin Wang is lightning fast; a blur on the floor. He uses his explosiveness and impressive body balance to leave defenders behind him or make them miss. Justin's ball-handling has always been top-notch and he is an elite perimeter defender. Justin has improved his outside shooting which has taken his game to another level.


Andrew Soltis
Bunnell High School, 2022

Andrew Soltis is a ferocious defender with many dangerous offensive skills to round out his game. He has very long arms that he uses to swat away shots in the paint, or lock down perimeter players looking to drive through the lane. Andrew cleans the defensive glass, crashes the offensive boards, and has excellent footwork from wherever he is operating. Andrew won’t back down from anyone.


Ryan Noble
Naugatuck High School, 2022

Ryan Noble is a sharp shooter that is always ready to let it fly. He can knock it down from anywhere behind the three point line. This is a testament to his 24/7 work ethic. As Ryan continues to grow and become more explosive, these offensive skills will flourish even more.


Timmy Bristol
Naugatuck High School, 2022

Timmy Bristol attacks the game of basketball with relentless energy and enthusiasm to become the best he can be. In his spare time, he reads books written by basketball legends of the past. On the court, Timmy never stops moving and can do it all. He’s tenacious defensively and can shoot from anywhere on the floor. Timmy likes to get out in transition where he can drop down an effective “Euro Step” from time to time.


Liam Yin
Hopkins School, 2024

Liam Yin is a coach's dream -- he is tough, fundamental and humble. Liam lets his actions do the talking, and through an unmatched work ethic he has developed into an all-around player on both ends of the floor. He has always been able to impact the game with rebounding, defense and mid-range shooting. However Liam has become more dynamic recently by stretching the floor with three pointers, while also equally dynamic at attacking the rim.


Caiden Clayton
Joel Barlow High School, 2022

Caiden Clayton is a play-making wing player with good size. He is meticulous in his off-the-court training regimen, and the results manifest in games. Caiden’s explosiveness comes from lower body strength. He draws in the defense with the dribble-drive and can absorb contact. More frequently, Caiden is finishing with creativity.


Jordyn Davis

Jordyn Davis is a long and athletic wing player that makes the game of basketball look easy. He can take his defender off the dribble with an assortment of moves, and finish creatively at the basket. An underrated aspect of Jordyn’s skill set is his mid-range jump shooting. Jordyn is an active defender and if he gets into the open floor then he will entertain the crowd with a highlight reel dunk.
